performances and productions
Every year, a number of performance opportunities, both formal and informal, are part of the student's school year. Open house events, choreographic workshops, school performances, International Dance Day and community outreach activities all provide the school's budding dancers with valuable performance and stage experience.
School productions in December and June are held in a local theatre within a professional framework and are accessible to the general public. The graduating student's final year production project is also held in a local theatre and draws a large audience curious to discover and to support each year's crop of emerging professionals. Every two years, the Canada Dance Festival also offers graduating students a forum to showcase their talent and to network with their colleagues from other Canadian national training institutions in modern and contemporary dance.
